Person-centred counselling, in Caversham
Welcome to the Empathy Room, a non-judgmental space for you to share and explore your feelings in the comfort of my home.
About me
Hi, I’m Emily, a qualified and BACP-registered integrative therapist.
I use a person-centred approach with a dash of psychodynamic theory. This means that no matter how many sessions we've had together or what you might have shared previously, I will always start our session by asking how you are doing in the here and now.
Nothing is ever 'too much' in our session together, and confidentiality is key to how I'll work with you.
Our sessions will be run from The Empathy Room, which is an accessible spot in Caversham on the main bus routes for the X40 and 22. It’s a wheelchair- and pram accessible space with unrestricted parking outside. As an advocate for new parents, if you're breastfeeding, your infant is welcome to be in our sessions together.
Therapy that puts you first
Being person-centred means we always stay in your reference and with how you’re feeling. I work with a range of mental health issues and illnesses, and I have experience working with people who have diagnosed mental illnesses as well as those who live with anxiety and depression.
